Thank you for posting this. People have been caught up in the chest thumping and warmongering that they forget the people who have no control over these situations. I have LGBTQ+ friends in Russia right now, who have faced unmentionable discrimination there, who have always been opposed to Putin, who now find themselves completely unable to access their own money for food. This is unfathomably evil and outright terrifying. Absolutely my heart goes out to the people of Ukraine, and I support any and all efforts that directly SUPPORT them. What I do NOT support is unilaterally destroying innocent people's ability to provide for themselves. This method only further galvanizes a populace, it doesn't magically cause an overthrow of the government. And even if that weren't morally reprehensible enough, let's consider that the purpose behind all of this is to push the Russian people to overthrow their government. Remind me how the last Russian civil war ended?
Thank you at least for speaking out. It's difficult to say something like this in such a polarized world, but people need to take courage and speak up. Ukraine does not deserve any suffering. The Russian citizens do not deserve any suffering. Anyone claiming that this is a black and white issue is woefully uninformed.
